DTCC’s Global Trade Repository (GTR) service was recently given the Market Infrastructure of the Year accolade for the second consecutive year at the 3rd Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2020 online ceremony on 15 December 2020.
The Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence recognizes financial institutions, technology companies, legal and consulting firms, exchanges, market infrastructures and other players that have helped meet the challenges of the ever-changing and increasingly complex regulatory landscape in Asia Pacific. Each year, submissions are diligently evaluated, and award winners selected by a panel of industry experts serving as judges.
Ollie Williams, Head of DTCC Data Repository Singapore, said, “At DTCC, we are committed to helping market participants address their trade reporting obligations within and outside of Asia through our locally registered and licensed trade repositories or act as agent who need to report their derivatives transactions to the local trade repository. Since setting up our first global trade repository operations in Asia Pacific in December 2012, our global trade repository has more than 600 clients reporting approximately over 7 million open positions under the ASIC, MAS, JFSA and HKMA obligations per month.
He added, “This award is a testament to the vision and tireless efforts of our team in Asia and colleagues from around world who have shaped and developed our global trade repository service for our clients.”
DTCC won Best Solution in Trade Reporting for its GTR services at the 2018 Regulation Asia Awards and the Market Infrastructure of the Year in the 2019 Awards.
