Douglas Spell
Douglas SpellDouglas Spell is Global Head of Markets Operations at Bank of America, based in New York. In this role, Douglas is responsible for all aspects of operational support of the bank’s global markets business including the operations strategy, management of operational risk and implementation of operations-focused strategic solutions. Previously, Douglas was the Global Head of Equity Operations with functional oversight of Middle Office processes across asset classes.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Douglas worked for Goldman Sachs and held various global and regional leadership roles across New York and Hong Kong. During his tenure, Douglas was a Managing Director and had responsibility for Asia Pacific Securities and Investment Banking Operations, US Securities Operations and Global Fee & Commission Operations. Douglas started his career at State Street Bank in Asset Servicing via the analyst program.
Douglas graduated from Furman University in 2000 with a degree in Political Science and obtained a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Pace University.
